The Workflows team

The Workflows (FLOW) team consists of a mix of software developers and people with deep knowledge of modeling and simulation workflows. We value teamwork and creativity and have an open-minded attitude, which enables us to provide solutions for complex problems. We have as our mission to help making our customers and in-house users of our tools successful through:

·       Enabling new workflows and maintaining existing ones

·       Designing and operating tools to facilitate their daily work

Your work

As a full-stack developer in the FLOW team, you will develop and maintain add-ons and supporting tools for Modelon Impact, to enable and improve workflows for our customers and our in-house Modelon Impact users. You will contribute to the development primarily in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Python. Knowledge and/or interest in model development and computer aided engineering workflows is a significant advantage.

·       Building and maintaining applications based on Modelon platforms and APIs

·       Working with a tech-stack that involves React, Typescript, Python, and more

·       Drive continuous improvement of tools, infrastructure, and methodologies

·       Working in agile development teams or focus teams for both internal R&D and customers

Required skills and experiences

·       5+ years of industrial experience in software development

·       Strong programming skills in JavaScript, React.js and its ecosystem as well as Python

·       Interest in model development and computer aided engineering workflows

·       Team-oriented spirit and interest in working in an agile product team

·       Self-motivated and ambitious, great communicator and excellent problem-solving skills

·       Fluent spoken and written communication in English

Desired skills, experiences, and interests

·       Development in other programming languages, in particular Java and C/C++ as well as familiarity with Jupyter notebooks or similar technologies

·       Visual Studio Code devcontainers, Docker and Kubernetes

·       Familiarity with Linux command-line utilities and make

·       Good understanding of Modelica and FMI standards

·       Familiarity with automatic testing, e.g., in Cypress and familiarity with Gitlab CI

·       Knowledge in managed Azure Services such as Azure Functions as well as skills in parallel and distributed computing as well as cloud computing
